Morpheus8 Treatment Overview
To enhance results and reduce the risk of complications, follow these guidelines:
Discontinue the use of aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin A, retinoids, and vitamin E a week before the procedure.
- Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and any skin-irritating products (e.g., glycolic acid, salicylic acid) for several days prior.
- Shave the treatment area on the day of the procedure, if applicable.
- Refrain from spray tanning or sun exposure for 4 weeks before treatment.
- Notify the provider of any medication changes, medical conditions, or a history of cold sores for tailored recommendations.
During the Treatment
The procedure begins with applying a prescription-strength numbing cream to the treatment area. While the microneedling process may cause a tingling or stinging sensation, it is tolerable, and pain management options are available upon request. Sessions typically last between 30 to 60 minutes.
Post-Treatment Care
Mild redness, similar to a sunburn, may occur for 1 to 2 days, but normal activities can usually resume during this time. Full recovery is expected within 2 to 3 days, occasionally extending to 5 days.
